Unlike our usual Christmas tradition, my family and I spent December 25 (just a few kilometers) away from home. We decided to check in at Acacia Hotel Alabang and enjoy a staycation with just the five of us all together. We have not done this in a little while so it was nice to do it all over again before the year comes to an end.
Last November, my favorite Filipino musical (Mula Sa Buwan) held a rerun at Hyundai Hall which is located in Areté, Ateneo De Manila University. Areté is the recently-opened building in the campus. Being the new home of Ateneo Art Gallery and the venue for astounding theatrical performances, Areté serves as Ateneo’s creative hub where arts and culture are honed.

In 2016, I was fortunate enough to visit and explore Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa (the one in Nasugbu, Batangas) with my family. I had completely no idea that two years later, I will have the chance to visit its subsidiary, Canyon Woods Resort Club. This time, I was only with my parents and Franz. We went on a weekday so my siblings couldn’t come with us. Canyon Woods is located in Lemery, Batangas, a few kilometers away from Tagaytay, which makes it a perfect venue for a weekend getaway.
Last May 18, 2018, on International Museum day, the most-anticipated National Museum of Natural History opened its doors to the public. Three months later, I finally had the chance to visit and explore the museum.

After planning this trip for a year, it finally happened! We booked our flight seats in 2017, and after tedious planning and what seemed like an eternity of pre-paying for our Airbnb and transportation fees, our Cebu adventure finally came true. We were all really excited and we have always known this is gonna be something BIG. This is the first time that we are flying out for a trip all together. We haven’t even gone on a lot of road trips in the past. To be honest, going out of town is not something that we usually do together. We also knew this will be the most treasured memory we have of each other. And it turns out, we were absolutely right. We cannot be grateful enough for this trip.
Anyway, here’s a rundown of what went down in Cebu (after spending a day in Bohol): Continue reading “My First Time In Cebu: Exploring Badian, Oslob, Cebu City”
Bohol is a popular tourist destination known for its natural and man-made attractions. Being the home of Chocolate Hills and the world’s second-most smallest primate, it definitely is one of the most visited provinces in the country.
To cap off our Laguna day trip, my family and I decided to have dinner at Isdaan Floating Restaurant located in Calauan, Laguna. Coming from a whole day of exploration, we were all hungry by the time we arrived Calauan. It was almost 7:00 PM when we arrived and the sun had just set. We were literally rushing out of the car just to have a glimpse of the statues and structures before the sky gets dark.
