I have been working non-stop for a few weeks now. My daily routines have been pretty monotonous lately. Upon waking up, I begin working right away. I always sleep late at night. I don’t eat on time anymore and I’m starting to lose track of days. I am aware that I have been very unhealthy (and unhappy?) to the point where I feel guilty when I let myself watch a ten-minute Youtube video. So, when I finally bought tickets to a play last weekend, it felt so liberating.
As you may already be aware of, I went to Resorts World Manila to watch Ang Huling El Bimbo at the Newport Performing Arts Theater a few weeks ago. It was also the first time I got to roam around the Resorts World compound. I have been there a couple of times before, but I never really got to explore and take some nice photos. (more…)
If you are a book lover like me, then you probably get excited too every time a grand book sale is happening. That is why when the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2019 was announced, I made sure to come and spend some moolah on my most-wanted titles! (See, I missed last year’s!) I went home truly happy with my finds and with a firm decision that I will return for a second round. I will come more prepared by then, that’s for sure.
The Dessert Museum is a one of a kind interactive museum that features eight rooms filled with sweets and treats! Each room has a designated theme and uniqueness. Beyond its aesthetically pleasing interiors, you can also learn a thing or two about the inventors and origins of our most loved desserts. The best part? Free desserts!
When I was still working in Makati, I used to pass by the RCBC Plaza often. The exterior of the Yuchengco Museum is one of the most interesting things that you will see among the high-rise buildings of Ayala. I have always wanted to go inside and check out the art, but it was only until this month that I was able to push through with the plan.
After months of waiting and contemplating, I was finally able to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Manila. Attached below is a series of my favorite photos that I have collected from my quick trip to the museum.
Unlike our usual Christmas tradition, my family and I spent December 25 (just a few kilometers) away from home. We decided to check in at Acacia Hotel Alabang and enjoy a staycation with just the five of us all together. We have not done this in a little while so it was nice to do it all over again before the year comes to an end.
Last November, my favorite Filipino musical (Mula Sa Buwan) held a rerun at Hyundai Hall which is located in Areté, Ateneo De Manila University. Areté is the recently-opened building in the campus. Being the new home of Ateneo Art Gallery and the venue for astounding theatrical performances, Areté serves as Ateneo’s creative hub where arts and culture are honed.
Last May 18, 2018, on International Museum day, the most-anticipated National Museum of Natural History opened its doors to the public. Three months later, I finally had the chance to visit and explore the museum.
It was a holiday so I was spending a lazy Monday afternoon at home when Eliana, my five-year old cousin, wanted to go out and try Bounce PH in SM South Mall. She kept inviting me and my mom to come with her. The whole day, she kept on asking us if we would come with her, blabbering about how boring her summer vacation has been. So after a few hours of convincing, we drove to Las Piñas before sunset and finally went to Bounce Philippines. (more…)
