Last weekend, my family and I decided to spend our staycation at Crosswinds Luxury Resort in Tagaytay. We have been planning to go for such a long time and we finally had the time to push through with it.
Due to my Mama’s prior errands, we were able to leave the house at around 3:00 PM–the same time we were supposed to check in. Of course, we arrived at Crosswinds late that evening, exhausted and hungry from the road trip. We decided to go to bed immediately after dinner, so we can wake up early in the morning to go around the place and take some photos. We had our food delivered because we did not want to go out anymore. My siblings and I hung out for while at the balcony. It was so chill there. We loved that spot. I worked on my journal and read a few pages while the two of them watched some videos.
I slept at midnight. It wasn’t that hard to fall asleep. The problem was, my sleeping schedule has been so freakin messed up that I woke up at 3:00 AM! I forced myself to go back to sleep but I just couldn’t. I did not intend to wake up that early. I was unsuccessful at trying to sleep again, so I just waited for my family to wake up.
At around 7:00 AM, we explored the place and shot some photos. It was challenging to walk on foot as the roads are very steep but we pushed through with our plan. We walked and walked and walked uphill until we reached the Christmas-themed houses. We also made sure to check out the signature Swiss-inspired houses of Crosswinds! Honestly, they look so cool. It seems nice to have a vacation house built there.
After taking enough photos, we went back to our unit and got ready for breakfast. We decided to dine at their Coffee Bean branch which is known for the iconic windmill.
We came back to prepare for check out and planned for our next destination. Before we went, we decided to stop by the photogenic structures and landscapes right by the guard house. For those who would like to visit the place, you can come by and have your photos taken there for free.
What I loved the most was the part full of towering trees. It made me miss Baguio! I wish my family and I can go back this year! Fingers crossed!
We had such a great time! It was a much needed break. A very chill one. My Mama even said she would want to spend Christmas at Crosswinds. 🙂 Anyway, this was our official first trip for 2019 and I think it was the perfect way to start the new year–spending quality time with the people I love the most at a place as beautiful as Crosswinds Luxury Resort. That’d be all for now. I’m leaving you a mandatory family photo taken in front of our building.
