During the past few years, there has been an apparent emergence of unique and fun indoor activities around Metro Manila. I remember back in the days, we only had two options to go for whenever my friends and I wanted to have some indoor fun: bowling and ice skating. But now, you can experience indoor activities in the most random spots and the quaintest corners in Metro Manila. Every gimmick, you name it, they got it! From escape rooms (Mystery Manila, Escape Manila, Breakout, Conceptrum) to adult playgrounds (Jump Yard, Trampoline Park, Ball Pit Manila, LazerMaxx) and to the most Instagram-worthy museums (Upside Down Museum, Art In Island Museum, Dessert Museum), the Metro got your back, fam!
The year is 2016. I haven’t seen my college best friends Mina, Mharize, and Hyle since my birthday celebration (which was the only time we saw each other after graduation) so we decided to avail Metro Deal tickets (being the kuripot titas that we are) to Jump Yard in Ortigas. Everything was all of a sudden. One moment, we were just trying to plan the day trip in our group chat, the next thing I knew, we were already inside the MRT (We were too broke to book an Uber. Take note that we were ~super~ fresh graduates during this time. HAHAHA!) on our way to Ortigas. Btw, Hyle couldn’t make it was just the three of us. 🙁
And since it was also our first time to go somewhere beyond Manila or Makati, we had a hard time reaching the place. Maligaw-ligaw kami! Nakakaloka. We just relayed on the commuting instructions we got from the Internet and we haven’t been to the area before, so you can imagine our frustration. When we got there, we underwent registration and changed into our Jump Yard socks. The indoor park has just been opened to the public during the time we went there so the amenities were clean and brand new.
We purchased an hour worth slot (for a discounted price, of course) and after consuming our time, we agreed that one hour is more than enough. Nakakapagod! Hahaha. We were excitedly hopping and skipping and playing around the moment we stepped in so we got tired easily. We were all sweaty and haggard. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the experience! Will we come back and do everything all over again? Probably not. And that’s just because we now prefer more mature meet-ups like having conversations over lunch and coffee like the real titas that we are. To be honest, I don’t think we still have the same level of energy for these kind of activities anymore. I guess two years of employment and adulting have worn us out.
Anyway, enough kwento. Here are some important details you need to know about Jump Yard:
- The rate is Php 250 per hour on Mondays to Thursdays and Php 350 per hour on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and all holidays.
- Operating Hours: On Mondays to Thursdays (except holidays), they are open from 12:00PM to 8:30PM. On Fridays, Weekends, and holidays, they are open from 12:00PM to 9:30PM.
- Jump Yard is located at Fontera Verde Complex, Ortigas Avenue cor. C5, Pasig City.
- Come at least 20 minutes early for the registration and orientation.
Dubbed as the first and biggest indoor trampoline park in the Philippines, Jump Yard provides a unique playground for people of all ages. Individuals, couples, and groups of friends and families alike are very much welcome to try out the fun and new way to exhaust themselves! Jk. Seriously though, jumping requires a lot of bodywork and it can burn a lot of calories, so it has its health benefits too. They offer a lot of activities like basketball, dodge ball, and foam pits. The venue is spacious enough to accommodate groups of guests at the same time. In case you’re worried about your safety, it actually helps that they have trained marshals to assist jumpers throughout the day.
Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience! You guys should try it at least once. Drop your comments below if you have any questions. I’ll be more than happy to be of help. 🙂
